Slim dvd cases have a similar design to the standard DVD case but with a vital difference: Although they are the same width and height, they are much slimmer at just 7mm thick. This makes them ideal for space saving and offering a slightly less standard case option. When used for storing a DVD collection, they take up much less room than standard cases, even though each case only has the capacity to store one disc.

Although very slim the 7mm spine of the dvd cases has enough width to still display disc information to make DVD collections or volumes easier to browse and identify when stored in a rack or slipcase.  As standard, slim dvd cases are available in clear or black. Although designed as DVD sized cases for identifying DVDs, they can just as easily be used for cd packaging and storage, or for gaming or PC discs.

The 7mm slim cases with spines have space for a printed insert or booklet at the inside of the front cover. They have a secure disc clip and closing mechanism keeping the disc in place. They are made out of a tuff, durable plastic and offer superior longevity to some of the cheaper generic dvd cases that are available. As they are slimmer than standard DVÐ cases and not as widely used, they do add extra value to the disc. If multi sets or multi volumes are required, the slimline dvd cases look superb when packed side by side in a slipcase.
