The Invasion to be released on Blu ray

DVD duplication firms will be hard at work in the coming few weeks, as they produce copies of classy thriller The Invasion.

The flick, which stars Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman, will be released by Warner Home Video on January 8th. It will also be available on standard DVD.

Kidman plays Carol Bennel, a psychiatrist from Washington DC. She discovers that a mysterious epidemic, which alters humans' behaviour, is being propagated by a group of extraterrestrial beings. Ms Bennel must then fight to save the life of her son, who is the only man on earth potentially capable of stopping the alien invasion.

She is aided in this last quest by fellow doctor and love interest Ben Driscoll, who is played by Daniel Craig.

The film will come with extras, which will include the documentary We've Been Snatched Before as well as three featurettes.
