Blu-ray disc won't include game demos
The DVD duplication firm behind its release may already know this, but its news that is likely to hit gaming enthusiasts where it hurts.
Too much excitement, it was recently claimed that the forthcoming release of Resident Evil: Extinction would include playable demo versions of both Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4. SCEE's semi-official blog Three Speech was one of the sources to carry the story, so people naturally thought it was true.
"This is unfortunately incorrect: the disc actually has hi-def trailers for both of those games, not actual playable code. Sorry for the confusion! Capcom said in a statement.
Unfortunately, the Blu-ray disc will instead carry two high-definition trailers for both games.
The Resident Evil: Extinction Blu-ray disc will be released on January 1st in North America - although a European release date has yet to be confirmed.
