The new discs, which will be on sale from December 20th, will be scratch and dust protected and will be able to store up to 25 gigabytes of data.
And the firm believe that the new discs will help consumers better manage their data transfer from computers to DVD players.
An official from the company said: "With this latest addition of recordable Blu-ray media, our category expertise allows us to help our customers navigate the full line-ups from PCs to drives, guaranteeing they have the right products at retail stores."
"We will sell the products in Europe including Germany and France, the United States, Australia and Japan," the official added.
Meanwhile, the Blu-ray Disc Association has revealed that Blu-ray discs outsell HD DVD discs by a proportion of three to one across Europe.
