Impossible Pictures signs up to distribution deal
A three-year output deal allowing 2 Entertain exclusive distribution rights for Impossible Pictures' DVDs has been agreed.
The contract will see the video and music publisher disseminate all DVD content worldwide for the film producer, 4rfv.co.uk states.
In news that might interest those in the DVD duplication industry, managing director of Impossible Pictures Jonathan Drake remarks: "2 Entertain have already done a great job for us bringing Primeval to the UK DVD market."
"They are a powerful home-grown player with a global reach."
Mr Drake referred to the launch of TV series Primeval on DVD in March last year, which under 2 Entertain's distribution has sold more than 120,000 copies in the UK.
This week sees a special edition box set of the first and second series of the programme released.
The DVDs have received good reviews from some quarters, with DVD Times observing that despite concerns to the contrary, "Primeval was as silly this time around as it was last".
