DVD Easter eggs 'available all year round'

Unlike their chocolate equivalents, it seems DVD Easter eggs are available to enjoy all year round.

It is not always easy to find Easter eggs that are featured on some of the latest DVD releases but they offer the chance for viewers to see additional footage from their favourite movies and shows.

Bonus features, deleted scenes, alternate endings and a variety of other surprise treats can be found on some of the newest DVDs available and unlocked by pressing the correct combination of buttons on your remote control, reports Canada.com.

The Easter eggs could be found on products distributed following DVD duplication and movies such as Ratatouille and Enchanted, as well as the comedy cartoon series Family Guy, are among those with the extra special bonuses.

Other popular releases that feature Easter eggs include the second season of Lost and classic films such as A Clockwork Orange and 12 Monkeys.
