Flash memory 'heading for the top'
A range of equipment incorporating USB flash drives has been packed by a team of fund-raisers heading for the top of Mount Everest, it has been revealed.
The climbing team are aiming to raise awareness of the Aids epidemic in Africa as part of the Inspi(Red) campaign and their trip is being documented via camcorders equipped with some of the latest flash memory solutions.
Jeff Dossett, general manager and executive producer of MSN Media Networks, is leading the trip and his team will be using various USB flash memory products supplied by SanDisk.
"Professional photographers and expeditions worldwide have relied on SanDisk's pioneering technology in flash memory," said Mr Dossett.
"We're pleased that SanDisk is supporting our team with its high-performance flash memory products," he added.
A report from SanDisk recently revealed that almost three-quarters of corporate employees working in the US use USB flash memory drives for their everyday business-related activities.
