Flash memory products 'being aimed at women'

Many of the latest flash memory products being brought to markets around the world are designed with the aim of attracting female consumers, according to reports.

Bruce Baird from the memory product supply firm SanDisk told IT Businesss.ca that his company is increasingly looking to tailor USB flash drives to meet the needs and tastes of female technology consumers.

Many of the USB flash drives now on offer from SanDisk are available in a variety of different colours and styles because women are thought to be making up an increasingly large sector of the memory product buying public.

"Women want to be tech savvy but not geeky," Mr Baird explained.

"Our goal at SanDisk is to continue to offer variety to our customers and personalisation."

SanSisk is headquartered in California and claims to have more than 780 patents in the US and hundreds more around the world.
